As I state in the intro to Muchacha Fanzine's environmental justice issue "Madre Tierra:" "POC have always been on the frontlines defending the Earth but instead of being supported as leaders, we are shut out from the conversation & called divisive for bringing up race. Rather than listening to our experiences, we are blamed for our own oppression. Rather than receiving credit for our accomplishments, our ideas are culturally appropriated and sold back to us in an "eco-friendly" package. Rather than being honored for our wisdom, we are criminalized and murdered.
